Vinyl is the most common material we remove from our customers' vehicles. The time required depends on the following factors:

• The amount of vinyl to remove
• The state of vinyl
• The period that has passed since the vinyl was applied

The decal removal process is a three-step process. First, the vinyl or plastic is removed from the vehicle. The second step involves removing the adhesive from the vehicle. Finally, we polish the surface to avoid any harsh contrast between the area where the sticker was and the surrounding panel.

The work time varies greatly from one vehicle to another and it is almost impossible to give an estimate. In general, for the removal of a small label, sticker, or badge, we will spend 20 to 30 minutes per item to be removed.

For the removal of lettering from a commercial vehicle, or the removal of stone guard film, the work will take several hours.

The sticker removal process does not damage the paintwork. On the contrary, the paintwork under the sticker should be in the same condition as it was when it was installed.

With that said, if there is any paint damage under the badge or stickers, we won't know it until we remove them. So if the paint was damaged during installation, there's a chance you'll have an unpleasant surprise when you remove it. Also, if the metal panel under the sticker is rusty, it's very likely that the paint will peel off due to the rust when you remove the sticker. This usually visible in the form of paint bubbles under or around the sticker or badge.
